You may wonder why the hotel is called Penny? In the winter of 1989, the Simoni family bought this hotel, which had already been called Penny for a few years, as the previous owners, who were philatelic experts, had chosen the name, referring to the famous Pennyblack, a high-value English stamp. It meant nothing to us, but we couldn't find alternative names.
Then one day while doing the first cleaning at the bottom of a drawer we found a penny, just a penny! Since then a small box has been kept as a good omen.
